CCUS ist die Abkürzung für Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage, damit sind zusammenfassend die beiden Technologien CCS (Carbon Capture und Speicherung) und CCU (Carbon Capture und Nutzung) (engl. Utilization) gemeint. Nach dem Abscheiden (engl. Capture), wird CO2 zum einen Teil in Produkten oder Prozessen eingebunden und zum anderen Teil unter der Erde eingelagert.cite-ref-bieg-1-0[1]
